This vessel is on display in the Viking Ship Museum near Oslo. It was found in a burial mound on a farm, along with three small boats. Displacement was about 20.2 tons. It had a single squaresail and sixteen pairs of oars. The wale indicated here is actually a Viking form called a meginhufr. Frames were lashed to cleats that had been carved from the inner planking surfaces. The ends of the planks were nailed to the posts. 1
