A total of nine vessels were excavated from this part of Marseilles harbor. These were the most interesting structurally, although the other seven are also being studied. J.V.9 is a sewn vessel. Its frames have rounded tops and a sided dimension at their planking faces are about half that of their upper sided dimension. The frames are lashed to the planking.1
