Rising line

Steffy: A curved line on the sheer drawing of a ship, designating the outer ends of the floor timbers or the height of maximum breadth throughout the length of the hull. The former line was called the rise of the floor line' or the floor head line; the latter was known as the height of the breadth line. See also Narrowing line.
