[[category: Ships]] The present locations of these four intact hulls are indicated by the cities following their names. They are believed by some scholars to be funerary or ceremonial craft because of their original proximity to the 12th dynasty pyramid of Senwosret III, but there were no artifacts in evidence to support this theory. The Pittsburgh boat was the best conserved and most researched of the four boats; it is also the best displayed. All Dashur hulls had dovetail-joined edges and no framing system.¹ == References == 1.
