Found and excavated by a treasure hunting company named Seahawk from Southern Florida, the wreck is around 500 m deep, its extensive hull remains have never been published. It has been tentatively identified as one of the ships of the fleet of 1622, built in Portugal and bound for Spain, from Havana, when it was caught by the same hurricane that sunk the Nuestra Señora de Atocha and the Santa Margarita.
