Excavated from the western shore of the Sea of Galilee (Lake Kinneret), this boat was the antithesis if the Herculaneum boat. It was far less graceful in design and was constructed with fewer tools and much reused materials. Conservation in polyethylene glycol has recently been completed, and the boat is now on display in a new wing of the Kibbutz Ginosar Museum, near Tiberias. The hull was exposed before being encased in Styrofoam and floated to its conservation facility along the lake.<sup>1</sup>
