The wreck, located in Monte Christi Bay, Dominican Republic, was first visited in 1966; many people have since invaded the site and removed objects.  It is known locally as “the pipe wreck” because of the large quantity of clay smoking pipes carried in its hold.&amp;lt;sup&amp;gt;1&amp;lt;/sup&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
