Porticello (ca. 410 BCE)

The single planking fragment is probably part of a wale scarf, as on the Kyrenia ship’s main wales. Except for the fact that the Porticello plank is about 1 cm thinner, all other details match closely. Hull length estimates and other similar statements are unreliable, since the site had been pirated frequently and seabed distribution was disturbed. 1
