The date assigned to this wreck is uncertain and may eventually prove to be erroneous. This wreck was partially excavated along the Egyptian shore of the Red Sea. It is believed to be Ottoman in origin. Hull details have not been published as yet, since only two exploratory trenches have been dug. They revealed that the hull construction appears to be of a type heretofore unrecorded. Frames fit the planking surfaces poorly and are frequently shimmed. Planking appears to be coated with a resinous material.1
