Mild Steel Vats - Two large mild steel vats were custom welded and donated by Trinity Industries. Large metal vats such as these are used in the electrolytic reduction process to stabilize metal objects which are in a reactive state. Mild steel is used when the vat itself is used as the anode. These vats are also used in artifact storage.

Plastic Containers - Small watertight plastic containers are an essential part of any conservation lab. They are used for any number of different applications, from storing artifacts and chemicals to being the actual vat in which the artifact is conserved.
