Work has begun on the large encrustion recovered from the stern area of the Mardi Gras Shipwreck. It is placed in a vat which allows the conservator to lift the encustation out of the vat to work on it while a webcam broadcast the on-going work to the Internet World. Check back here to check on the progress and to see what was found in it.
