ANTH 689 Mediterranean Pottery
Fall 2004 / Dr. Deborah Carlson
For this second project you will prepare an annotated bibliography based on the readings for our October 6 class on the Western Mediterranean. What is an annotated bibliography?
An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles, and documents. Each citation is followed by a brief descriptive and evaluative paragraph, the annotation. The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited.
Thus, you should choose a minimum of five (5) of the assigned readings and prepare a brief epitome of 4-5 sentences that summarizes the key views and principal achievements or contributions of each source.
Those of you able to read French may choose to include Bertucchi 1992 in your bibliography, since this will be counted as the equivalent of two (2) English entries (but remember you have to summarize the whole book!).
This assignment is due in class on Wednesday, October 6.
