Wood species

A sample from the Arade 1 shipwreck was analyzed in the Centro de Investigacao em Paleoecologia Humana of the Instituto Português de Arqueologia, and found to be oak (Quercus faginea Lam.), known in Portuguese as carvalho cerquinho, common in the center and south of Portugal and Spain.
