First, the keel is laid and scarfted to the stem and sternpost. not that the stem and sternpost have been carved with the lines of the planking into them.

Next, the curvature of teh planking is calculated and the planks are attached to the carved posts and keel, one by one with overlapping planks joined with metal rivets.

Next, the floors are attached. Note that they are carved in much the same way was we have shown for the earlier Viking ships discussed previously.

Finally, thwarts and knees are attached to the structure to give added strength to the hull. Then the deck and other fittings are added.
